Challenge Love

I have wastedtheentiredayughwhatiswrongwithme lounged around this afternoon on my cozy chair with my favorite blanket doing nothing but reading new blogs and reviews.  Yum. What a perfect way to spend a snow-slushie afternoon.

But now, of course, I have found approximately 1.467 trillion new things I want to join/do/be a part of.  Here is the latest treasure I am chasing in 2011.

Since I'm already down for reading 111 books this year with The Centurions of 2011, I think Beth Fish's yearly "What's in a Name" reading challenge will be a fun way to track some of my reads.  It's fairly simple to do, which works for my feeble brain.

When I started hunting books, I found several new titles I am excited about and excavated many old titles I had forgotten, buried in the catacombs of my book stacks. Here is the list, and what I plan to read:

  1. A book with a number in the title - Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut and An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
  2. A book with jewelry or a gem in the title - Hidden Gems: Naming and Teaching from the Brilliance in Every Students Writing by Katherine Bomer
  3. A book with a size in the title - Little Bee by Chris Cleave and Wither by Lauren DeStefano
  4. A book with travel or movement in the title - Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario and The Passage by Justin Cronin
  5. A book with evil in the title - A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam Gidwitz and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
  6. A book with a life stage in the title - A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick, Hereafter by Tara Hudson, and Boys Without Names by Kashmira Sheth
Mosey on over to her site for more examples of each. I think I'll do two books for each title-search, since I have a plethora of books to read by December!

What would your book choices be?
