Slice of Life Tuesday: Stuff Changes

Today my brain is rambly-scrambly and tired. State testing, house woes (Et tu, water heater?), children running amuck... however!

Less than a week ago I found out I got the job I interviewed for -- Instructional Media Specialist! This means I'll split my time between managing two campus libraries and handling the technology needs in the computer lab, helping teachers integrate techie stuff into their classrooms, and even get to facilitate some professional development in the district! Woohoo! Very exciting news!

Of course, the flip side of this is saying goodbye to my classroom. This has made for some very weepy writing sessions with my young learners! I love the side by side time we share. This means I'm already thinking of ways to stay tuned in to the many students I'll be seeing next year at my two campuses. Peer-led writing center, anyone? School-wide NaNoWriMo club? Hmm... I know I'll find a way to keep writing with my new position. With any new adventure, it's as grand as I make it!

And I'm looking forward to a very grand adventure, my friends.

  3. This sounds very exciting!! I love the idea of being able to impact writers OUTSIDE of the classroom, actually. And, with expertise in technology, your options will be limitless! So fun! I can't wait to watch your journey unfold!!

  6. Unquestionably believe that which you said.
Your favorite reason appeared to be on the net the easiest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they
just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the
top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
