#Slice2013 - Day 23 of 31

Faith.

I'm practicing it in great, leaping bounds these days.

Faith that my children have enough sense in their sort-of-adult brains to build strong lives for themselves.

Faith that the path I'm on is headed in the best possible direction for my future.

Faith that the choices I make, moment by moment, will get me where I need to go.

These days I'm asking a lot less "What will happen if I don't..." and a lot more, "What are the possibilities if I do?"

Faith has climbed into my heart and started building a home.

I think I'll keep her.

I have a painting, a gift from my sweet mother-of-my-heart, with the quote: "Faith is a bird that sees the light when dawn is still dark."

So while I may not know the final destination, I have faith that I am getting there, step by tiny step.

And right now, that's good enough for me!
