I feel like it's been forever ... so I thought it'd be best to get back here with a few observations:

*People, although they should, do not have power switches that you can flip off when you've decided they've become outdated.
*Old friends are remarkably adept at stabbing you in the back, something I never thought was possible
*Agreeing to rent a home "as is" can never be a good idea. Ever.
*Birds, particularly baby birds of the lost, hungry, and wounded variety, are extremely loud.
*Drinking to excess and never sleeping should only be done once a year, contained to a timeframe of less than a week, and always done with hundreds of people.
*I still have the ability to have recurring nightmares in 30 minute increments when stressed.
*Family is more important than anything else.
*It's okay to lean on people. It doesn't mean you're weak, it means you're resourceful.
