#Slice2013 - Day 26 of 31

Yes.

What an incredibly powerful word.

Recently, I was presented with an opportunity that my typical anti-risk sensors would have screamed no at. Please recall: me = panicked hermit crab skittering away from all things new!

Maybe it was the timing, maybe it was the presentation, maybe it is simply that I'm doing my best lately to ask myself what are the possibilities instead of what if I'm wrong.

All I know is that I'm excited. I'm hopeful. I'm believing that good things will happen.

I look around at success stories and I wonder, what is the real difference between their success and mediocrity?

It could be said that it's resilience. Perseverance. Dedication.

But honestly? I think it all boils down to belief.

Believing in oneself. Believing in opportunity. Believing that trying and failing is better than not trying at all.

The other day, Dos sent me a text message that made me realize the importance of walking the walk -- not just talking about believing, but making purposeful decisions that turn belief into action. I'm sharing it here.

And I'm hoping for you, no matter what your goals are, that you find the strength to take your belief in them, turn it toward yourself, and believe that you have everything you need to transform your belief into the actions that make your dreams come true.
