Today I began the preparations that make concrete the fact that soon there is a hospital stay and unwanted but necessary surgery. Making the lists and finalizing tasks as I delegate duties at work for my absence lets me take my mind off all the things I don't want to think about.
I know I should be happy about this for many reasons, but I think I'll need some wallowing time before I get to that stage.
