Why (oh why) is it that on the days I absolutely must go up to campus the weather is bitter cold and angry? Yesterday it was warm. Humid, even. Today the temperature has dropped 30 or so degrees and the clouds hang low, refusing to leave. Roads are flooded; I watched a (not-too-bright) man in a compact car try to drive across a perpetually troublesome spot during any rainstorm, and watched as his car began to float away.
And yes, I'll admit it ... I've been begging for rain, wishinghopingpraying that we would have a nice, long storm. But not in a campus day!
Rain, rain, go away....
